You are no longer passing

Amber Valletta's top tips for a glowing complexion

With her flawless complexion and bright eyes, Amber Valletta never seems to age.

So, when the model/actress outlined her top skincare and beauty tips in a new video for, we couldn't help but take notes. Read on for some top takeaways from her tutorial.

Don't be afraid to multi-mask

Before attending an event, Amber applies under-eye patches from French brand Patchness and a layer of Environ's Revival Masque to her face.

"This is my favourite, favourite mask at the moment! You would put this on for like 20 minutes or longer. You just want to put it all over," she said, demonstrating how she applies the formula with a brush. "When you take it off, your skin looks super fresh and hydrated, and all the fine lines are kind of ironed out."

Always wear sunscreen

The '90s model ensures she wears sunscreen every day, even if the weather is overcast. She likes to mix some of EltaMD's sunscreen with her go-to Augustinus Bader face moisturiser.

"I live in L.A. and I have to wear sunscreen every day, even if it's cloudy," the mother-of-one shared.

Go easy on foundation

Rather than apply a heavy layer of make-up, Amber prefers to allow her own skin to shine through by dotting on some Cle De Peau concealer stick to tone down any "pinkness" in her complexion. She will also apply a little of MAC's Face and Body Foundation where needed.

"I like to use my hands, my fingers when I'm putting on make-up. Just because I feel I have more control, and I don't know, it feels more natural to me. I think it's stimulating for the skin and your blood but also, kind of warming up the make-up," she noted.

Blush isn't just for cheeks

One of the key tips the Hitch star has learned from make-up artists over the course of her career is that blush can be used in a multitude of ways, including on the lips and eyelids.

"My favourite product right now that is from my (Douglas capsule beauty) line is called Snapshot. I also like it on my lips - I like that very nudie, sort of pink (colour)," the 45-year-old added.
