Most celebrities rocked the classic Hollywood glamour look at the 2020 Golden Globes – but not Lucy Boynton, who choose to experiment with her eye make-up.
The Bohemian Rhapsody actress perfectly accompanied her silver Louis Vuitton dress with bold silver eyeshadow and glitter.
But how to recreate the look? Danielle Gregory, celebrity make-up artist and founder of Doll Beauty, has given us the lowdown.
“The eyes are really the standout part of Lucy’s look, and are easier to create at home than you might think!” says Danielle. “Use a liquid eyeliner to do a double-winged, triangular shape and fill in with a high shine silvery pigment like Doll Beauty Candy Eyes. Then, she has little gems stuck on top - Gypsy Shrine have an amazing collection of gems that can be applied using specially bought glue or eyelash glue.
“Lucy’s lashes have that ‘already worn’ mascara effect. To achieve this, I would use Marc Jacobs’ Eyelash Primer for volume and length, Doll Beauty eyelash curlers to lift the lashes, followed by Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced, which is amazing for that really strong and thick, dramatic look lash.”
Danielle also suggests using Collection’s incrediBROW Semi-Permanent Brow Gel to brush the eyebrows upwards and achieve the British actress’s bushy brow effect, as well as NARS’ Soft Matte Complete Concealer on the lips before applying Doll Beauty lipstick in My Love for that barely-there nude look.
For coverage, Danielle suggests using Stila’s Poreless Putty to achieve Lucy’s minimal and flawless skin, as it will help smooth the complexion without looking heavy, and then finishing off by contouring with Doll Beauty’s Gimme Sun in Medium Deep on the cheekbones. To complete the look, blend with the Light shade to create definition and warm up the face.
